The Office of the Associate Dean for Research & Graduate Studies was established in fall 2009 as the Office of Special Projects, with a mandate to study gender equity in the College of Liberal Arts. In 2010, we became the Office of Research and added to our portfolio faculty research support and graduate student affairs. These have become the centers of activity in our office. We welcome you to visit our pages about grants support for faculty and graduate students, institutional research, and our section on graduate student affairs.

Dept. of Education Grant Awarded to Middle Eastern Studies Award will support doctoral fellowships in Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures, preparing students to teach Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Turkish. |
The Office of Research offers comprehensive grants assistance to faculty and graduate students. Grant-seeking is an integral part of any academic career, and we strive to collaborate with faculty and students to navigate the often complex grant application process, create compelling proposals, and develop long-term funding plans.
Our efforts to improve the work environment are part of a campus-wide response to the issues raised in the Report of the Gender Equity Task Force of 2008. Our mission is to identify inequities and address them with an eye toward shaping the College as a workplace that is dedicated to the well being of its faculty, staff, and students.
Will apply to all grants submitted on August 24, 2012, or later. More information available here.
