Study Abroad Advisors and Coordinators: There are many Study Abroad Advisors and Coordinators on the UT campus. Some are housed in the Study Abroad Office others are located in academic units.

Program options of all types can be found around the globe. The bullets below will help you know some of the key points each has to offer.
Programs with UT faculty
- Short: Maymester/ (4 weeks) or faculty-led summer programs/ (6 weeks)
- Program timing works easily for most majors
- Take specific UT classes with a UT professor and UT students
- Provides most structured option for study abroad
- No credit transfer necessary
Exchange Programs
- Longer: Semester or academic year only for most; some summer options
- Generally least expensive - pay UT tuition plus living costs
- Lots of independence - total immersion possible
- Often best for building advanced language proficiency
- Most comprehensive course offerings; best option for varied coursework in technical fields
- 4th or 5th semester language proficiency required to study in language other than English
Programs Affiliated with UT
- Mid-length: summer or semester
- Modes vary; take classes with U.S. students, other internationals, or local students from the host country on a UT-approved program
- Assistance pursuing research, intern and volunteer opportunities offered by some
- Program options for all language levels including absolute beginner

This organization promotes and helps students further their education abroad by providing a network for students to connect with other students who have the same interests. For example, they have socials held at various restaurants that offer foreign cuisine to provide a fun and relaxing atmosphere for prospective study abroad students to meet study abroad alumni.
